With Nancy Yates and Gabbriella Yates & Special Guest, "Sound Healer" Margy Henderson

This is a very special workshop.We will be blending smooth, flowing Yoga postures wiith sounds that are unique to yourself at this time. Helpful and evocative, the voice and instruments give rise to one's own harmony: balance is the result. Margy Henderson offers her unique ability to surrender to the powerful mystery of intuitive sound. Your sound. Margy leads people to use their own voices effectively for meditation and healing. This Workshop will include a special 25 minute Sivasana with sound.

This session promises to be Fun! and often gives rise to visual journeys, physical healing and mental relaxation.

~&&&&&~

For thousands of years, indigenous cultures around the world have used sound---chanting, drumming, Peruvian whistling vessels and singing to induce altered states of consciousness. Shamanic practitioners and their followers believe this process opens the door to the spirit world, where a kind of sacred transformation or healing can take place.

Margy explains that our bodies are vibrating at different frequencies. The most obvious example is your "heartbeat," but really every system in your body gives off a sound. And when you're not feeling well, those frequencies can get out of alignment. Sound healing is a technique for returning those frequencies and re-establishing inner harmony.

Music without words means leaving behind the mind. And leaving behind the mind is meditation.

Meditation returns you to the source. And the source of all is sound.----Kabir
