Floridicana: il fotografo

K and I scoured the Internet for a affordable, used version of my digital camera--the camera my middle brother can't put down every time we visit Florida. We found one and sent it to him for his 11th birthday last month.

The gift did just what I hoped, what the best gifts always did for me as a kid--transform ordinary home life, make it stand out and be interesting in and of itself.

Give the kid a camera and he gives me Dad's Sicilian nose! A perfect study in Sunday night, blue chair phenomenology.

, where this blog lives now. because it can be read and posted to through that app, one-handed, on my back, by a body of water, or in the cool olive green light above my mattress. This is articulation my spine had not dreamed of before.

My blog lived on Tumblr for a minute

because it is so much easier to access from my phone. fallinginrealtime.tumblr This is the feed. No, I don't like it. I can't add another virtual box. I'll make due with Twitter.
