Kristen Yawitz on The Writer's Block/KQED

Kristen Yawitz is a writer, teacher and director. Her work has appeared in Five Fingers Review, Xantippe, SHAMPOO, and the Mississippi Review, among other publications. She's worked with numerous theatres and performance art groups on both coasts. She teaches writing and media studies and co-directs the OpenSpace arts collective. She's currently at work on a book about abandoning graduate school in order to volunteer and perform with homeless Americans.
